SECURITY ACCESS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

SECURITY ACCESS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM BY ONE TOUCH CONTROLS

 1.1           System Design Concept

Security Access Management System (SAMS) will be used to control and monitor the movement of personnel through security doors or roller shutters within the premises. The SAMS is designed based on individual concept and each door will have an individual Slave Access Control Unit (SACU) located above each doors (Figure 1). The SACU at each will connect to door accessories such as electromagnetic lock, door sensor, emergency break glass, push button, card reader and override key switch. The SACU will control and monitor the door accessories operation based on command from Master Access Control Unit (MACU). The SACU will communicate with the MACU via RS-485 communication. The connection between MACU and SACU shall follow the “Daisy Chain” pattern (Refer Figure 2).

1.2           SAMS Door Configuration Design

In SAMS, the door configuration was divided into few configurations as below:
a)     High Security normally apply for strong room, Control Room, or any high security level in order to secure the room. This will have in/out reader to secure the area and to monitor whose in/out of that room.
b)     Medium Security normally apply for station room such as security control centre, telecom equipment room, BMS/SAMS room and etc. This will have in reader out push button.
c)     Low Security normally apply for fire escape door and roller shutter where EAC is use to monitor the door or roller shutter open or close only.
Each of the door configuration have different type of door hardware, details of the door hardware can be found at below figure:

1.2.1       SAMS High Security Door Configuration

1.2.2       SAMS Medium Security Door Configuration

1.2.3       SAMS Low Security Door – Monitoring

2          System Architecture

The overall system for each door access will be connecting to the local network which connecting to the Servers and Operators Workstation. All the transaction of access control will be store at EACS servers. From the server, we should be able to interface with Time attendance, Visitor management, Headcount management and other interfacing eg SCADA, BAS, or CCTV.
